Description

A delightful way to enjoy freshly baked bread cooked entirely on the stovetop without the need for an oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Butter for greasing the pan

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the milk and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface for about 1 minute.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls about the size of a golf ball.
  5. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and grease it with butter.
  6. Flatten each dough ball into a disc about half an inch thick.
  7. Place the discs in the skillet, cover, and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the skillet and serve warm.
