Description

A delightful and nostalgic Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler recipe that captures the essence of summer with fresh or canned peaches and a soft, sweet topping.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until combined.
  4. Add milk and melted butter to the dry mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spoon the peach mixture over the batter evenly.
  7. If desired, sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
