- Let the dough rest for 30 minutes (autolyse).
- Add salt and knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4-6 hours or until doubled.
- Gently deflate the dough and shape it into a loaf.
- Let it rise again for 1-2 hours, covered with a kitchen towel.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
- Let the bread cool completely before slicing.
