Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
- Combine the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture gently until just combined.
- Add the sour cream and chopped pistachios, mixing gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing.
Notes
For extra pistachio flavor, lightly toast the chopped nuts before adding them to the batter. Ensure butter and cream cheese are at room temperature for better texture.
