Description

Delicious and cozy Salted Caramel Apple Crumble Bars, combining tart apples with sweet caramel and a buttery crumble topping, perfect for fall.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of rolled oats
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 cups of sliced apples (Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup of salted caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the oats, flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  4. Press half of the crumble mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
  5. Layer the sliced apples generously over the crust and drizzle with salted caramel sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining crumble mixture over the apple layer.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing into bars.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
