Description

Indulgent and creamy salted caramel puddings that require simple ingredients, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and turns golden brown.
  2. Carefully add heavy cream and sea salt to the hot caramel, stirring to combine.
  3. In another saucepan, gently heat the milk until warm.
  4. Whisk together eggs, cornstarch, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the warm milk into the egg mixture while whisking continuously.
  6. Slowly pour the caramel mixture into the egg mixture, stirring gently to incorporate.
  7. Carefully pour the pudding mixture into individual cups.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Avoid adding toppings until just before serving.
