Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and turns golden brown.
- Carefully add heavy cream and sea salt to the hot caramel, stirring to combine.
- In another saucepan, gently heat the milk until warm.
- Whisk together eggs, cornstarch, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the warm milk into the egg mixture while whisking continuously.
- Slowly pour the caramel mixture into the egg mixture, stirring gently to incorporate.
- Carefully pour the pudding mixture into individual cups.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Avoid adding toppings until just before serving.
