Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup mashed taro
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and water until a smooth dough forms.
  2. In another bowl, mix the mashed taro with sugar until well combined.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls, flatten each ball and place a small amount of the taro mixture in the center.
  4. Pinch the edges to seal the ball and roll it gently to smooth it out.
  5. Roll each ball in sesame seeds to coat.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry the balls until golden brown and floating, about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
