Description

A simple and delicious Sheet Pan Lasagna that serves a crowd with layers of flavor and convenience.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare your lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage until browned, then drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, chopped basil, and season with salt and pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of your sheet pan.
  6. Layer with 4 lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, half of the sautéed meat, and a third of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat these layers for a second round.
  7. Finish with the remaining noodles, cover with marinara sauce, the rest of the mozzarella, and the Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover the lasagna with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave. Can freeze for up to 3 months.
