Description

A deliciously simple smoothie that combines ripe bananas and rich chocolate, making it perfect for breakfast, a snack, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe bananas, peeled, sliced, and frozen
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 to 1 ½ cups milk of choice (whole, 2%, skim, or non-dairy)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour the milk of choice into the bottom of your blender.
  2. Add in your frozen banana slices, followed by the cocoa powder, sweetener, and vanilla extract.
  3. Blend the mixture at low speed, gradually increasing to high, for about 45 to 60 seconds until smooth.
  4. Taste your smoothie and adjust sweetness or chocolate as desired.
  5. Serve in a tall glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

For the best texture, use perfectly ripe bananas. You can also add a handful of spinach or a scoop of protein powder for extra nutrition.
