Description

A comforting and flavorful slow-cooked beef chuck roast enveloped in rich gravy, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 4 potatoes, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the beef chuck roast with salt and pepper, then add it to the skillet and sear, turning until browned on all sides.
  3. Transfer the browned beef to your slow cooker.
  4. Combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, chopped carrots, and diced potatoes in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and slow cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. Shred the beef in the slow cooker using two forks and mix with the gravy until well-combined.
