Description

A comforting dish of thick noodles and tender beef enveloped in a sweet and savory sauce, topped with fresh green onions and sesame seeds.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz noodles (egg noodles or any preferred type)
  • 1 lb beef (thinly sliced)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions (chopped)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Brown the beef slices in the pan until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Sauté the minced garlic and grated ginger for an additional 1 minute.
  5. Mix soy sauce, honey, and beef broth in a small bowl; pour this mixture into the pan.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce it to a simmer.
  7. Combine the cooked noodles into the pan and toss to coat.
  8. Heat everything through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to 2 months.
