- 1/2 cup sugar (for macerating strawberries)
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
- 1 package ladyfingers
- Cocoa powder (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Macerate the Strawberries: In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with sugar and let macerate for about 30 minutes.
- Whip the Cream: In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in Mascarpone: Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the whipped cream until smooth.
- Prepare the Ladyfingers: Dip the ladyfingers quickly into the cooled coffee and layer them at the bottom of a serving dish.
- Add the First Layer of Cream: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Layer the Strawberries: Spoon half of the macerated strawberries on top.
- Repeat the Layers: Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
- Finish with Final Touches: Top with whipped cream and dust with cocoa powder if desired.
- Chill Before Serving: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving for best flavor.
