Description

A refreshing homemade sweet cordial perfect for summer gatherings, bursting with fruity flavors.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh fruit juice (rose, lemon, or khus)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh fruit slices or mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool down completely.
  3. Add the fresh fruit juice of your choice and the lemon juice to the cooled syrup and mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture to the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Pour the sharbat over ice cubes in a glass and garnish with fresh fruit slices or mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
