Description

A delightful twist on classic French toast, featuring a medley of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries in a fluffy baked dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices of bread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish.
  3. Cut the bread into cubes and place half in the greased dish.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
  5. Pour half of the egg mixture over the bread cubes.
  6. Scatter mixed berries over the bread.
  7. Layer the remaining bread cubes on top of the berries.
  8. Pour the rest of the egg mixture over the top.
  9. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to soak.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  11. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.

Notes

For richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread. Prepare it the night before for easy baking in the morning.
