- 6 slices of bread
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1 cup of mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- Powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish.
- Cut the bread into cubes and place half in the greased dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Pour half of the egg mixture over the bread cubes.
- Scatter mixed berries over the bread.
- Layer the remaining bread cubes on top of the berries.
- Pour the rest of the egg mixture over the top.
- Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to soak.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar.
Notes
For richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread. Prepare it the night before for easy baking in the morning.
