Description

A warm and comforting Tuna Noodle Casserole, combining tender egg noodles, flaky tuna, and sweet peas in a creamy mushroom sauce, topped with crispy breadcrumbs and cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 can (12 oz) tuna, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions; drain well once cooked.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, tuna, cream of mushroom soup, peas, milk, and half of the cheese.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and stir until well mixed.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese and sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top, drizzling with olive oil.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, try sautéing onions or garlic before mixing. You can substitute tuna for shredded chicken for a different taste.
