Description

A comforting lasagna filled with savory ground beef, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the ground beef in a skillet with olive oil, seasoning generously with salt and pepper until fully cooked.
  4. Mix the ricotta cheese, egg, chopped basil, and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, ensuring an even coat.
  6. Layer 4 noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and another layer of marinara sauce.
  7. Repeat the layering process: add noodles, more ricotta, mozzarella, and marinara until all ingredients are used.
  8. Finish with a final layer of noodles topped with marinara sauce and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Cool for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
