Description

A light and airy meringue dessert topped with whipped cream and tropical fruits, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, diced
  • 1/2 cup passion fruit pulp

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar, continuing to beat until glossy and stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold in the vanilla extract, vinegar, and cornstarch with a spatula.
  4. Spoon the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet, shaping it into a circle with a slight indent in the center.
  5. Bake for about 90 minutes until the outside is crisp and dry. Once done, turn off the oven and let the meringue cool completely inside.
  6. Once cooled, whip the heavy cream with the powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  7. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled meringue, then top generously with diced pineapple and passion fruit pulp.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy!
