Description

A creative twist on classic hash browns made using a waffle maker, delivering crispy texture and cheesy delight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Begin by grating the potatoes using a coarse grater. Once grated, place them in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes with shredded cheese, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
  3. Before you start cooking, preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions and lightly grease it.
  4. Take a portion of your potato mixture and spread it evenly into the preheated waffle maker.
  5. Close the waffle maker and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the hash browns turn golden brown and crispy.
  6. Once done, carefully remove the hash browns from the waffle maker and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the waffle maker for the best texture.
