Description
A creative twist on classic hash browns made using a waffle maker, delivering crispy texture and cheesy delight.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large potatoes
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Begin by grating the potatoes using a coarse grater. Once grated, place them in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes with shredded cheese, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well mixed.
- Before you start cooking, preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer’s instructions and lightly grease it.
- Take a portion of your potato mixture and spread it evenly into the preheated waffle maker.
- Close the waffle maker and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until the hash browns turn golden brown and crispy.
- Once done, carefully remove the hash browns from the waffle maker and serve hot.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the waffle maker for the best texture.
