- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1 lb ground beef
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Paprika, to taste
- Red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- Chopped parsley, to garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic, and cut the broccoli into bite-sized florets.
- Add olive oil and butter to a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once melted, toss in the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart and cooking for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Season the beef with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Push the cooked beef to one side of the skillet and add broccoli florets to the other side, sautéing for 3-4 minutes.
- Stir everything together until mixed evenly.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, pour in heavy cream, and stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the skillet for 2-3 minutes until melted.
- Remove the lid and stir to mix in melted cheese, adjusting seasoning as needed before serving.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for a healthier option. Feel free to add other vegetables for extra nutrients.
