- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups peeled and chopped apples
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for topping)
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (for icing, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Cream together the butter and sugar in a separate bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Mix in the dry ingredients alternately with the milk until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then drizzle with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk if desired.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Delicious on its own or with ice cream or whipped cream.
