Description

Delightfully fluffy fritters filled with sweet baked apples, perfect for breakfast or as a dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and granulated sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Combine the milk, egg, and melted butter in another bowl.
  4. Unite the wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  6. Drop dollops of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing sweet and tart apples. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a treat.
