Description

Delicious Baked Italian Grinder Sandwiches loaded with meats, cheeses, and zesty sauces, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 hoagie rolls or sub buns
  • ½ pound sliced salami
  • ½ pound sliced pepperoni
  • ½ pound sliced ham
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup diced tomato
  • ¼ cup sliced pickles
  • 2 tablespoons Italian dressing
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the hoagie rolls lengthwise, but do not cut all the way through. Leave a hinge on one side.
  3. In a bowl, mix the salami, pepperoni, ham, mozzarella cheese, olives (if using), and Italian dressing.
  4. Stuff the mixture into each hoagie roll.
  5. Place the stuffed sandwiches on a baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over them and sprinkle garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Top with lettuce, tomato, and pickles before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh basil or Italian herbs. You can experiment with different cheeses.
