Description

Deliciously soft and chewy bakery-style chocolate chip cookies, perfect for all occasions.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the flour and baking soda in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. Mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Portion rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For softer cookies, do not overmix the dough and ensure to store in an airtight container.
