Description

Delightful cookies combining the fruity sweetness of bananas and rich chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well incorporated.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  5. Whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  8. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden at the edges and slightly underbaked in the center.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added texture, consider folding in chopped nuts with the chocolate chips. For deeper flavor, brown the butter before mixing.
