Description

BBQ Brisket Melts are a celebration of flavors and textures, combining tender, shredded brisket with gooey cheese, grilled between crispy bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 pound cooked brisket, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Optional: pickles, onion, or jalapeños for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Mix the shredded brisket with BBQ sauce in a bowl.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Place 4 slices of bread butter-side-down on the skillet.
  5. Layer some brisket mixture and cheese on each slice.
  6. Top with another slice of bread, butter-side-up.
  7. Grill for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm with optional toppings if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet or oven until the cheese melts.
