Description

Juicy and tender BBQ chicken with a deliciously smoky and sweet flavor, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2–3 lbs Chicken pieces (Thighs, drumsticks, breasts, etc.)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt (Or to taste)
  • 1 tsp Black pepper (Freshly ground)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Smoked paprika (Or regular)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper (Optional/spicy)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (Store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp Honey (Adds stickiness)
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar (Adds tang)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (Depth of flavor)
  • 1 tsp Hot sauce (Optional/spicy)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and brush it with olive oil. Season with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the dry rub ingredients. Coat the chicken thoroughly with this mixture.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat, around 350°F, creating indirect heat zones.
  4. Start grilling the chicken skin-side down over direct heat. After a few minutes, move it to the indirect heat zone.
  5. Brush BBQ sauce on the chicken during the last 10 minutes of grilling.
  6. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Choose chicken pieces with skin for extra moisture and flavor. Marinate the chicken for deeper flavors, and experiment with different BBQ sauces.
