Description

A refreshing and quick treat that layers tangy key lime filling with crunchy graham cracker crumbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup key lime juice
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • Zest of one lime (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Combine the key lime juice and sweetened condensed milk in a mixing bowl, and mix well.
  2. Whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract in a separate bowl until soft peaks form.
  3. Fold the whipped cream into the lime mixture until combined.
  4. Layer the key lime filling and graham cracker crumbs alternately in serving jars or glasses.
  5. Repeat until the jars are filled, and top with extra whipped cream and lime zest.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 120 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For a stronger lime flavor, add a little extra key lime juice. Use very cold heavy cream for the best results.
