Description

A delightful combination of brownies and Buckeye candies featuring a rich chocolate brownie base, creamy peanut butter filling, and chocolate ganache.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • â…” cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 3 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 10 ounces dark chocolate chips
  • â…“ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the melted butter and cocoa powder in a mixing bowl, whisking until smooth.
  3. Stir in the flour, sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla until everything is well-blended.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 23-25 minutes.
  5. Prepare the peanut butter filling while the brownies are baking by mixing the melted butter, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and sifted powdered sugar until creamy.
  6. Heat the heavy cream until bubbling, then pour it over the dark chocolate chips. Stir until smooth to make the ganache.
  7. Spread the peanut butter filling on top of the brownies while they are still warm, followed by the ganache.
  8. Chill the brownies for two hours before slicing.

Notes

These brownies can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, wrap them well and freeze.
