Description

A hearty and flavorful dish featuring tender steak in a rich, creamy Cajun sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Penne Pasta
  • 1 lb Sirloin Steak
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Boil 8 ounces of penne pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, letting the pasta retain some warmth.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat. Wait until the oil shimmers.
  3. Rub 1 pound of sirloin steak generously with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Add to the skillet and sear for 3-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce the heat to medium and add 4 minced garlic cloves to the same skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Stir in 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning and 4 tablespoons of butter, mixing until the butter is melted.
  7. Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream, stirring to blend it into the sauce. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Chop the rested steak into bite-sized pieces. Add it along with the cooked pasta to the creamy sauce and toss gently.
  9. Stir in 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

For a spicier kick, increase the amount of Cajun seasoning. Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor.
