Description
A comforting dish featuring creamy Alfredo sauce, Cajun chicken, and tender orzo pasta. Perfect for dinner or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Cajun seasoned chicken breast
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the Cajun seasoned chicken breast and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from pot and set aside.
- Add orzo and chicken broth to the same pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the heavy cream, garlic powder, and cooked chicken. Continue to cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the chicken in Cajun seasoning for a few hours before cooking. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of chicken broth or cream to loosen it.
