Description

These Candied Beef Kielbasa Bites combine sweet and smoky flavors, making them perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 pounds Beef Kielbasa
  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke or Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 cup Non-alcoholic Apple Cider or Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Maple Syrup or Honey (optional)
  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper or Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Unpackage the beef kielbasa and slice it into approximately ½-inch thick rounds.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Combine dark brown sugar, smoky enhancer (liquid smoke or smoked paprika), and your chosen glaze base (apple cider, beef broth, or a combination with maple syrup/honey) in a medium bowl. If using, add a pinch of cayenne pepper now and whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the sweet smoky glaze evenly over the sliced kielbasa on the baking sheet and gently toss to coat.
  5. Bake for 25-35 minutes, stirring every 10-15 minutes until the kielbasa is heated through and the glaze is thick and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a serving platter.
