Description

Cheeseburger Tater Tot Casserole is the perfect comfort food, combining savory beef, creamy cheese, and crispy tater tots into a delightful dish everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey for a leaner option)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or a blend of your favorites)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or a homemade alternative)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (yellow or Dijon)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Optional toppings: diced pickles, ketchup, or mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
  4. Mix the beef mixture with the cream of mushroom soup, milk, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Stir until well mixed.
  5. Layer the beef mixture in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and mozzarella cheese over it. Layer the frozen tater tots on top.
  6. Top with the remaining cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with optional toppings like diced pickles, ketchup, or mustard.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding spices like paprika or Italian seasoning. Use fresh herbs as a garnish for added freshness.
