Description

A fun twist on taco night with crispy tortillas, melted cheese, and flavorful meat, perfect for dinner or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)
  • Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef or turkey in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the taco seasoning and refried beans, mixing until well combined.
  4. Place a tortilla on a flat surface, add a spoonful of the meat mixture, and sprinkle cheese on top.
  5. Roll the tortilla tightly to form a stick.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Fry the taco sticks on each side until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with sour cream and salsa.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace the meat with black beans or tofu. Keep an eye on the cooking time to achieve the perfect crispiness.
