- 1 grilled chicken breast, sliced
- 1 ripe avocado, sliced
- 1 cup of shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter or oil for toasting
Instructions
- Preheat the skillet over medium heat until hot enough to crisp the bread.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread for a golden crust.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, layer the grilled chicken, avocado, and cheese.
- Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the layers to enhance flavors.
- Place the other slice of bread on top, buttered side facing out.
- Carefully cook the sandwich in the skillet until golden brown and cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the sandwich, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
For a vegan version, swap chicken for grilled tofu and use plant-based cheese. Pair with a side salad or soup.
