Description

A comforting dish of tender chicken, earthy mushrooms, and a rich, creamy sauce served over egg noodles or rice.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 8 oz Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 2 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Melt the Butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and garlic to the melted butter, sauté until translucent.
  3. Next, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.
  4. Now, add diced chicken to the skillet, and cook until no longer pink.
  5. Stir in the flour to create a roux, then gradually pour in chicken broth.
  6. Once the sauce thickens, stir in sour cream.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Plate Chicken Stroganoff over egg noodles or rice and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for about 2 months.
