- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in melted butter.
- Mix in baking soda and salt.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness. Don’t overmix the batter for a fluffy texture.
