Description

Indulge in this delicious Chocolate Oreo Cake, a perfect dessert for any occasion, blending rich chocolate and Oreo cookies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies
  • Chocolate ganache (for drizzling)
  • Oreo cookies (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix everything until well combined.
  4. Carefully stir in the boiling water, mixing until the batter is smooth and thin.
  5. Gently fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans.
  7. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes. Check if they are done by inserting a toothpick in the center; it should come out clean.
  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Then, carefully remove them from the pans and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  9. Once cooled, frost the cakes with chocolate ganache and decorate with whole Oreo cookies.
  10. Serve and enjoy this delicious cake with family and friends!

Notes

For a more chocolatey cake, consider adding chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for a couple of days or refrigerate for longer storage.
