- 3/4 cup cocoa powder

- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup milk (for frosting)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the eggs, whole milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the boiling water until well combined.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then onto wire racks.
- Prepare the frosting by beating together the peanut butter and softened butter until smooth.
- Mix in the powdered sugar and milk until smooth, adding vanilla extract.
- Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a plate, frosting it, and adding the second layer on top.
- Serve and enjoy!
