Description

Delightful dessert bars combining the crunch of churros with a creamy cheesecake filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for cinnamon sugar mixture)
  • 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for filling)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 (8 oz) cans Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. Beat softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl until smooth, then add 1/2 cup sugar, egg, and vanilla; mix until creamy.
  4. Spray a 9×13 inch baking pan with non-stick spray and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on the bottom.
  5. Unroll one can of crescent dough into the pan, pinching seams together; press down evenly.
  6. Spread the cream cheese filling over the dough layer.
  7. Unroll the second can of dough on top of the filling.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
  9. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Let the bars cool completely after baking before cutting. They can be served warm or cold, and are delicious either way.
