Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients: ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, egg, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Mix gently until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs using slightly wet hands.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook meatballs in batches for about 6-8 minutes until browned on all sides.
- Add marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use a mix of ground beef and pork. Don’t overmix to keep them tender. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge or freeze for 3 months.
