Description

Delicious and easy-to-prepare blackened fish tacos topped with creamy avocado sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner or gathering.

Ingredients

  • Corn tortillas
  • White fish fillets (like tilapia or mahi-mahi)
  • Blackening spice (paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and oregano)
  • Avocado
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • Lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cabbage (shredded)
  • Cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the fish fillets with blackening spice on both sides.
  3. Cook the fish for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and flaky.
  4. Mash the avocado in a bowl and mix with sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, salt, and pepper to make the cream sauce.
  5. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a pan.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing pieces of blackened fish in the tortillas, adding shredded cabbage, and drizzling with avocado cream sauce. Garnish with cilantro.
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust the blackening spice to your taste; add more cayenne pepper for extra heat. Use fresh tortillas for the best texture.
