Description

Ingredients

  • 14 oz fusilli
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 26 oz pasta sauce
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.75 tsp salt
  • 0.75 tsp pepper
  • 0.75 tsp onion powder
  • 0.75 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 8 oz mozzarella, freshly shredded
  • Fresh basil, torn into small pieces
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare your spices in a small bowl.
  2. Bring salted water to a boil and cook the fusilli for 2-3 minutes less than package directions.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add ground beef, cooking until browned.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and stir in pasta sauce and tomato paste along with the spices.
  5. Pour the cooked pasta into a baking dish and mix with the meat sauce.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly and top with shredded mozzarella.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and let it rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
  9. Tear fresh basil onto the top and serve with parmesan cheese.
