Description

A delightful seafood dinner combining juicy shrimp with a rich and creamy garlic sauce over smooth mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant.
  3. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then add to the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the remaining butter until melted.
  6. Serve the creamy garlic shrimp over mashed potatoes, garnishing with fresh parsley and adding lemon wedges on the side.
