Description

Delicious crab cakes featuring crab meat and cheddar cheese, perfect as an appetizer or light meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, egg, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix gently until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches wide.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
  5. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve warm as an appetizer or light meal.

Notes

Be gentle when mixing to keep the crab meat intact. For extra crispiness, add more breadcrumbs and ensure the oil is hot enough before frying.
