- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2–3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Coating: In a bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Coat the Beef: Dip beef strips in the egg, then coat them with the flour mixture.
- Fry the Beef: Heat oil in a pan and fry the beef until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the Vegetables: In the same pan, add bell peppers and onions, stir-frying until tender.
- Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, chili sauce, sugar, and vinegar, then pour over the vegetables.
- Combine Everything: Add the crispy beef back to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot as a main dish or starter.
