Description

A flavorful dish featuring crispy beef strips coated in a sweet and spicy sauce, paired with vibrant bell peppers and onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g beef strips
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 23 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Coating: In a bowl, mix cornstarch, flour, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Coat the Beef: Dip beef strips in the egg, then coat them with the flour mixture.
  3. Fry the Beef: Heat oil in a pan and fry the beef until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. Sauté the Vegetables: In the same pan, add bell peppers and onions, stir-frying until tender.
  5. Mix the Sauce: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, chili sauce, sugar, and vinegar, then pour over the vegetables.
  6. Combine Everything: Add the crispy beef back to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve hot as a main dish or starter.

Notes

Ensure your oil is hot enough before frying for that desired crunch. Customize the veggies based on what you have on hand.
