Description

Crispy and delicious oven fries, perfect as a side dish with burgers or sandwiches.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons oil (olive, avocado, or vegetable)
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 15 to 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  2. Rinse and thoroughly dry the potatoes.
  3. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Toss dried potato matchsticks with oil and seasonings until evenly coated.
  5. Spread potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, flip, then bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with ketchup, mayonnaise, or your favorite dipping sauce.
