Description

A fun twist on traditional fried chicken with a crunchy pretzel coating for delightful texture and flavor.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Honey mustard sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, shaking off the excess.
  4. Dip them into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Coat each piece in the crushed pretzels, pressing the pretzels onto the chicken to adhere.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each chicken breast for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
  8. Serve with honey mustard sauce.

Notes

For a healthier option, bake the chicken entirely instead of frying. Try different spices in the flour mixture for custom flavors.
