A comforting and hearty one-pot meal featuring tender beef and flavorful onions, perfect for busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds beef (chuck roast or stew meat)
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a crock pot, place the beef, sliced onions, beef broth, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or high for 240 minutes until the beef is tender.
  3. About 30 minutes before serving, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions.
  4. Once the beef is done, shred it with a fork in the crock pot and stir to combine with the sauce.
  5. Serve the beef mixture over the cooked noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding some sliced mushrooms. To thicken the sauce, mix a tablespoon of cornstarch with water and stir it in during the last hour of cooking.
