Description

A moist and delicious banana bread made with ripe bananas and rich chocolate, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium ripe bananas
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Dutch cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Add the melted butter to the bananas and mix well.
  4. Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Mix the flour, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
  7. Fold in the Greek yogurt and chocolate chips gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to three months.
