Description

A quick and easy meatball casserole that combines hearty meatballs, pasta, and marinara sauce in one dish for minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen meatballs
  • 2 cups pasta (such as penne or rotini)
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large baking dish, combine the frozen meatballs, uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix well to ensure the pasta is coated with sauce.
  4. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven, stir the casserole, and sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Return to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider sautéing some onions or bell peppers and mixing them in before baking. Use plant-based meatballs for a vegetarian version.
